Melony Stokes
Senior Director of Project Implementation
South Central Telehealth Resource Center
Dr. Stokes has been with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) since 2006. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Program Implementation for the South-Central Telehealth Resource Center (SCTRC). Dr. Stokes holds a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice, a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree. She also holds a national certification in High Risk Obstetrics (RNC-OB). Dr. Stokes has a strong clinical and leadership background that includes: managing a High Risk Obstetric, Antepartum and Postpartum unit, serving as a nurse educator on a high risk OB unit, general floor nurse, research nurse and medical legal consultant.
Currently, Melony has an essential role in working to help eliminate healthcare disparities through digital health and technology. She provides telehealth and technology presentations and demonstrations for healthcare professionals, businesses, community leaders, consumers, students, and patients.
