The Northeast Telehealth Resource Center (NETRC) presented a virtual telehealth 101 training with the Simmons University’s Center for Innovation in Behavioral Health Education and Research (CIBER).
The professional development training provided educators and practitioners with information about the latest trends, technologies and policy considerations in the rapidly growing field of telebehavioral health.
The training was conducted by leaders from NETRC and allowed participants to develop a “starter kit” of knowledge they can take back to their organizations and practices. Presenters also shared a brief background on NETRC and how they can help with telehealth planning and implementation. NETRC and Simmons University School of Social Work has continued discussion around curriculum integration of telehealth topics, and the positive feedback and continued interest in the work has sparked conversations with a litany of educational institutions across the Northeast.
