Optimizing Virtual Care

The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) on the rural western coast of Oahu, Hawaii is the second largest and oldest of fifteen community health centers in the state. WCCHC is committed to the expansion of telehealth services for underserved communities. Since their early adoption of emerging technologies in the 2000s, they have transformed many challenges into teaching points. In this webinar, Chrissy Kuahine will dive into WCCHC’s innovative telehealth solutions to overcome barriers in virtual care. Key projects include kiosks for telehealth and social services, computer classes with kupuna (elderly persons), homeless outreach clinics, and affordable connectivity program outreach. Learn from Leina Kanana about WCCHC’s ongoing efforts in health information technology through Artificial Intelligence embedded with core systems to improve effectiveness and impact of clinical and social interventions.
